About Me

Younique Fitness was developed to individually support the clients in obtaining optimal health and wellness. I grew up in a very athletic family. My teen years were shaped by sports and I was able to achieve success in the areas of track and basketball.

Once I had my diploma in hand, I continued my education at Norfolk State University to study Social Work, earning a Bachelor's and Master's of Social Work degree. After getting married, we relocated to Maryland.

While working as a School Social Worker I had the opportunity to coach, teach, and condition youth for basketball which helped me to realize my passion for helping people meet their fitness, cardio conditioning, and lifestyle goals. Soon after I attained my certification as a fitness trainer. What I did not realize is that my clinical skills as a social worker would couple so well with my skills as a fitness trainer. I became a social worker to help people overcome the obstacles in their life and I became a trainer for the same reason, to help; with the end result being an increase in wellness. The only difference with fitness training is I also want people to see people improve in their physical abilities.

For nearly 15 years, I have been working as an independent professional fitness trainer. I am certified through the International Sports Conditioning Association (ISCA) with additional certifications/training in Insanity Fitness, Boot Camp, Kickboxing, Cage Fitness, PiYO, HIIT, and Drop2Sizes weight management program.
